Ashtanga Yoga is a yoga series from the lineage of the Indian guru Pattabi Jois. The series includes Sun Salutations, standing, seated, and reclined postures. Practicing a specific series can be helpful for first learning yoga, or for anyone who seeks greater peace and focus in their practice. In the Gentle class we ease in with subtle warmups and we explore modifications to Sun Salutations and poses. This is a meditative practice built to meet the needs of the individuals in the class.
